My workday starts with making sure the Mayor, C.A.O. and the P.I.O. have their daily news papers. Next, I go over the Mayor and C.A.O.'s schedule to make sure nothing has been added or canceled for that particular day. I check all contracts for signatures and return them to their department for process.
I answer phone calls through out the day from citizens needing assistance and or general information about the various departments within Shelby County as well as the programs and services they offer.
Mail deliveries are twice a day and I make sure those packages reach the correct administrator. Its never out of the normal to receive guest inside of the lobby for meetings that they've been scheduled to attend during the course of the day. I make sure to greet them, have them sign-in and get them seated. Once they're comfortable I'll notify the administrator they're guest has arrived.
